Fat Thursday, the sweetest day of the year, is behind us, and you are still reminiscing about the delicacies you allowed yourself this one time? We will have to wait a little longer for the next occasion, but that does not mean that we should forget about sweets completely. Today's carbohydrate breakfast suggestion will certainly appeal to everyone. Oatmeal cooked in almond milk, grated apples, blueberries, cinnamon, coconut additions...sounds good? And tastes even better!

It's time to start the oatmeal feast!

Preparation time: 10 min

Portion for one person

Ingredients:

  • Oat flakes 6-7 tablespoons
  • Almond milk – about ¾ cup
  • Apple (sweet e.g. Ligol, Gala)
  • Cinnamon – 1 flat teaspoon
  • Blueberries - a handful
  • Coconut sugar – ½ or 1 teaspoon
  • Coconut flakes – half a teaspoon

Recipe for apple-coconut oatmeal for breakfast for athletes

  • Pour previously heated almond milk over oat flakes and cook for 4 minutes. In the meantime, grate the peeled apple. Add it to the flakes and cook together for another minute.
  • Then add cinnamon, coconut flakes and mix well.
  • Transfer the hot oatmeal to a bowl. Top with blueberries and sprinkle with coconut sugar.
