Box diets have become a real hit in recent years. Most of us have someone among our friends who has tried or is still using this type of service. Dozens of companies offering box diets tailored to all customer preferences and requirements have sprung up on the market like mushrooms after rain. Well-known figures from the fitness world, such as Ewa Chodakowska and Anna Lewandowska, have also prepared their own catering offer. Are box diets really the perfect solution?

Dietary catering is it worth it?

Accessibility and convenience

The undoubted advantage of dietary catering is its convenience. Instead of meticulously planning the menu for the whole day, a set of ready meals is delivered to your door or to work in the morning. For people who do not like, cannot or simply do not have time to cook, this is a very convenient solution. A few years ago, the availability of such services was mainly limited to large cities such as Warsaw, Poznań, Kraków, Wrocław or the Tri-City. Currently, finding a company offering box diets in most medium and smaller towns in the country is no longer a problem.

Price and quality of dietary catering

The offers of individual companies differ significantly. Depending on the city, calorie limit and available diet options, the price range for a set of meals for one day ranges from PLN 35 to even PLN 120. The diversity of offers also concerns the quality of the prepared meals and the frequency of rotation of individual dishes on the menu. Customer satisfaction is of course determined by personal preferences and requirements for the taste and quality of dishes. Due to the multitude of offers, it is worth spending some time reviewing opinions and seeking advice from friends who have already used specific companies.

What is your goal?

Box diets work best for people who want to lose unnecessary kilograms. Ready meals make it much easier to stick to a calorie regime and limit snacking between meals. The lower the calorie limit, the lower the price of a daily set of meals. People who exercise intensively, whose energy requirements are much higher, may find that box diets can be expensive and therefore not very profitable.

A solution for everyone?

Diet catering is not for everyone. If you like to prepare your own meals and your daily calorie requirement is more than 3000 kcal, then this type of solution is probably not for you. Are you picky and difficult to please culinary or do you have a long list of products and ingredients that you do not like or cannot eat? A box diet will not work for you either. However, if you are looking for an easy and pleasant way to lose a few kilos and your schedule is bursting at the seams, then diet catering may turn out to be a bull's eye!
