Benefits of lunch boxes
In the rush of everyday duties, it is easy to forget about eating balanced meals, and we often catch ourselves eating "anything" and "anything quickly". Unfortunately, this is a direct path to unhealthy eating (let's not kid ourselves - we most often reach for a bun, sandwich or candy bar) and later health and weight problems. That is why it is worth convincing yourself to prepare lunch boxes yourself, where YOU decide what and how much you eat. With this article, we are starting a series of recipes for quick lunch boxes, the preparation of which will take you no more than 15 minutes.
First up, we're posting a recipe for:
Couscous with vegetables and tofu
Ingredients:
- Couscous (½ cup)
- Tofu (100g)
- Broccoli (a few florets)
- ½ red pepper
- Sunflower seeds (small handful)
- Olive oil
- Soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
- Salt
- Chili pepper flakes (half a teaspoon)
- Oregano
Preparation:
Cook the couscous according to the instructions on the package. Boil water in a large pot and add a pinch of salt. Throw in the previously cut broccoli florets. When the water bubbles again, cook for 3 minutes, then drain the broccoli and rinse with cold water. Cut the tofu into cubes. Heat olive oil in a pan, add the tofu and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, until it takes on a nice golden color. At the end, add a spoonful of soy sauce and stir. Use half of the pepper and cut it into smaller pieces. Mix all the ingredients and spices together in a bowl and it's ready J
And for storing your prepared meals, we recommend our red lunchbox, which you can take with you to work or training ;)
