D-aspartic acid is an endogenous amino acid. Unlike many proteins that we most often write about, this compound is not responsible for building proteins - its task is to break down ammonia. However, it so happens that while fulfilling its function, DAA also affects the increase in testosterone levels, which in turn brings measurable benefits for men.

In addition to increasing libido and strengthening erections, DAA promotes muscle mass building thanks to muscle fiber hypertrophy. Additional benefits of using this type of product include better sleep, which helps with proper regeneration, and increased sperm production, which also becomes more mobile. However, it should be remembered that supplements containing DAA are intended for adults only. The use of testosterone boosters by teenagers can disrupt the hormonal balance, which is not yet fully formed.

How long to use?

Studies have proven that D-aspartic acid is safe - it is not commonly treated in the sports community as a prohibited substance. No dangerous effects of its use on the body have been found, although it is worth mentioning the possibility of an increase in the level of the hormone prolactin. The recommended daily dose of DAA should be from 1.5 to 6 g, most often divided into two portions (before training and before sleep). Supplementation with this type of product should be carried out in cycles - for 3 - 4 weeks we take DAA every day, after which we take a break lasting at least 2 - 3 weeks.
