There are days when you are stuck in work up to your ears, overwhelmed by household chores and it is really hard for you to find time for physical activity? We have a few proven ways for you to introduce a bit of exercise into your daily routine!

How to introduce physical activity into your daily life?
- Instead of the elevator, take the stairs! It's a great way to add cardio in the process. It doesn't cost you much (okay, maybe a few quick breaths), and you'll see the results in a relatively short time. Climbing the stairs will strengthen your leg and buttock muscles, improve your cardiovascular system, and slim your figure!
- Start your day off right . Spend 5-10 minutes warming up in the morning. Try to make it part of your routine, like brushing your teeth or showering. A few sets of push-ups, sit-ups, and jumping jacks will set a positive, healthy tone for the rest of your day.
- Walk – wherever and whenever you can. Do you drive to work? Park a bit further away from the office and take a 15-minute morning walk (you’ll gain extra energy first thing in the morning). Are you on a lunch break? Use at least 10 minutes to stretch your legs around the building. Do you have an issue with a colleague in accounting? Don’t call, just get up and go to her room.
- Need to do some shopping? Skip the car and walk to the store . Bring a backpack and reusable bags. You'll definitely feel the extra weight on your way home!
- Track your steps . Challenge yourself to the number of steps you want to take during the day. You can measure them using devices such as a smartwatch or smartband. If you don't want to invest in additional equipment, you can measure your daily activity using your phone and available applications. Such challenges are fun and will certainly work as additional motivation.
- Cleaning is also exercise ! Even when vacuuming, hanging laundry, washing windows or the floor, we can burn a few extra calories. Both your apartment and your body will benefit from it.
- Play your favorite song and…let yourself be carried away by the sounds of music. Dancing is a very pleasant way to relieve tension and energy. You can do it literally anywhere, weaving it into your daily routine and making every day even more beautiful.
- Instead of bending down to do something, try squatting – it’s a great exercise for your buttocks. Whether it’s while loading the dishwasher/washing machine, cleaning, playing with your child, or lifting objects. Any excuse is a good one!
And remember – from now on, introducing small changes to your everyday life may be easier than you think!
