
Quick breakfast recipe - poached egg on a slice of rye
Did you also think, looking at pictures of poached eggs, that such a breakfast could only be the result of the work of professional chefs? Nothing could be further from the truth! Today's breakfast will be ready in literally 5 minutes! I will only add that it is worth buying good quality bread (preferably rye sourdough).
Ingredients:
1 egg
Sourdough rye bread
Cream cheese
Smoked salmon in slices
Lemon
Salt
Pepper
Pepperoncino (optional)
Preparation :
Boil water in a pot and add a pinch of salt. In the meantime, crack an egg into a bowl. Reduce the heat so that the water is not bubbling and, using a spoon, start to vigorously swirl the water clockwise. After a while, pour the egg into the vortex and cook on low heat for a maximum of 3 minutes. Cut a thick slice of bread, spread with cream cheese, put a slice of salmon on top and sprinkle a little lemon. Finally, place the egg on the sandwich. Add spices – salt, pepper and peperoncino.
