You probably expected this - mass and strength are different things, and reducing fat tissue and "sculpting" already developed muscle mass are different things. Of course, we also use fat burners cyclically - there are many products available on the market, so we will discuss two groups of supplements based on slightly different processes, but facilitating the achievement of the same goal. You will also learn what to look for and how it all works - also how to dose and combine fat burning supplements belonging to both groups (thermogenic and lipogenic, which are discussed in the next part).

Thermogenesis and thermogenics

In order to understand the entire mechanism of action and effectiveness of fat burners, which are so-called thermogenic, it would be necessary to look at the process taking place in our body, and which these supplements use. The mechanism itself, or rather the cycle of physiological processes takes place in our body one way or another (e.g. fever or so-called post-meal thermogenesis) - during them, energy is, very generally speaking, converted into heat (thermal) energy. However, this process can be used, stimulated and specifically directed to burning unnecessary, subcutaneous fat tissue. Together with the intensification of the thermogenesis process, our body temperature increases, because heat energy is produced - similarly, useful energy is also produced during aerobic training or training at the gym, which in turn means that it is used just as quickly for current purposes. We can distinguish two main types of thermogenesis that interest us:

• fast contractions of muscle fibers (mechanical energy -> heat),
• after eating, when the body produces more energy necessary for digestive processes, which also increases the amount of heat produced after food is consumed,

Have you heard of cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) and adenosine receptors? Because they are the ones that take part in the processes of burning fat tissue and thanks to these transmitters we are able to direct the useful energy produced during training to burning fat. We have gathered some information, so it is time to simplify and unify the information a little. Thanks to the external supply of energy components, our body is able to produce the energy necessary for all internal changes and additionally, from optimal amounts of these components, cover the energy demand related to the expenditure of "power" during extreme effort. For this purpose, high-energy components circulating in our body are burned in specialized places - thermogenesis is, generally speaking, a side effect of the combustion processes of these compounds, which also gives us the ability to warm up the body and optimize its temperature. Thermal energy is usually obtained by burning substances with strong energetic properties that enter the body from the food we eat - as we said, this process can be directed by means of appropriate stimulants-blockers.

It's time to get down to specifics.

The second form of obtaining heat energy is to direct the processes of burning high-energy substances not from food, but those stored in the form of spare fats. Therefore, it is also good to follow a reducing diet if you want to lose weight, because the calorie deficit directly related to the reduction of energy supply also promotes a directed thermogenic response (also during aerobic exercise, which is extremely important at this time). For this purpose, after exploring a number of physiological processes occurring in the body and using their mechanism at the same time, effective preparations called thermogenics were created based on many active ingredients. Their action consists in improving metabolism and stimulating the processes of burning high-energy compounds found in spare fat, which results in reducing the amount of subcutaneous adipose tissue, especially in conditions of deficit in terms of calories consumed. We classify them as supplements used cyclically, because the body can adapt and get used to the effects of specific active ingredients of products, which will result in a decrease in their effectiveness in terms of burning adipose tissue. In addition, during the cycle, with simultaneous increase in thermogenesis through dietary conditions and the use of aerobic training, there is no need to extend it - the cycle is usually achieved. Moreover, too much is unhealthy - let's not get paranoid. Thermogenics additionally block the edonosine receptors to some extent, which in turn has a positive effect on further work in terms of burning the accumulated fat tissue. Very often, this type of fat burner contains an adenosine antagonist, i.e. caffeine - it works opposite to adenosine, blocking its receptors to some extent and one can say that it intensifies the action of cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate - which is a transmitter).

Due to their composition, thermogenic burners, in addition to reducing the body's fat reserves, stimulate the nervous system, reduce pain stimuli and intensify concentration. When they are taken, when their action is activated, blood pressure and temperature may increase, and consequently the frequency of heart contractions - we do not recommend them to people who have problems with the circulatory, cardiovascular or nervous system. For these people, we recommend metabolism activators and fatty acid transport aids, which you will read about in the next part of the series of articles. What effects can we expect from the use of thermogenic burners, as healthy people who want to lose unnecessary fat? Check below:

• Stimulation of metabolic processes.
• Accelerated metabolism.
• Increased concentration and intensification of energetic training possibilities.

• Reduction of the body's fat reserves.
• Stimulation during training.

Active fat burner ingredients

As I mentioned above, these preparations are supplements with a comprehensively selected range of active ingredients that have a synergistic effect on our chosen goal - reducing body fat. The following ingredients can be distinguished that actively and effectively affect fat burning and are also found in good thermogenic preparations:

Green tea leaf extracts [catechins contained in this ingredient enhance thermogenesis processes, inhibiting the accumulation of fat tissue while intensifying the burning of fatty acids and reducing lipid cells - they also work great as antioxidants, which also has a positive effect on achieving our goal].
Caffeine and guarana [as an adenosine antagonist, it accelerates metabolism, stimulates the nervous system by increasing concentration, intensifies the release of fatty acids into a free form circulating in the bloodstream, so that they can be captured and burned - it also affects the better management of the other two main nutrients, i.e. proteins and carbohydrates].
Bitter orange extracts [intensify the metabolic rate by increasing the amount of fatty acids involved in energy metabolism - thus slightly suppressing appetite during the calorie deficit of a reducing diet].
L-carnitine [increases the transport of long-chain fatty acids and enables them to penetrate the inner mitochondrial membranes to burn fat molecules - then, through subsequent processes, they return to the matrix; also affects the body's efficiency].
L-Tyrosine [helps maintain optimal mood, which is usually disturbed and results in fluctuations during a large calorie deficit and hunger].

The active substances of thermogenic supplements are usually isolated and obtained from plant ingredients - of course, there are also ingredients in food products that affect thermogenesis processes, fat burning and improve metabolic processes, and thus intensify energy processes. Very often, supplements also use extracts from spicy or bitter spices/plants, for example black pepper or cayenne pepper extract (which de facto affect in some way the temporary increase in body temperature). Thus, fat burners are enriched with a number of amino acids and vitamin and mineral components supporting metabolic processes and facilitating the transport and burning of fatty acids through biochemical changes in the body - it is also worth mentioning the use of chromium in various forms to limit the expenditure of sugars for energy processes, which de facto helps the body to focus on the expenditure of spare fat for energy purposes.
