vitamin c supplement

Vitamin C, contrary to popular belief, is a very strong vitamin with a very broad spectrum of action.

Some theory:

Very often I see normal people using one tablet of vitamin C in a dose of 200 mg. I like to investigate and ask why this dose. Most often, I hear in response that it is on the packaging or that the pharmacist in the pharmacy warned this person... Hmm... well. The first thing, the dosage of each supplement is a very individual matter. It depends on a lot of factors, e.g.:

  • why do we use it,
  • in what period,
  • percentage of body fatigue.

I will try to shed some light on the matter. The breakthrough and increased interest in this vitamin took place around 25 years ago. It was discovered then that there is no correlation between the dose needed for life during the day and a dose many times greater than the indicated one. In a word, there is no evidence that, for example, exceeding the indicated dose 1000 times brings objective side effects. If they do occur, they are completely individual. Nausea, increased blood pressure, slight abdominal pain may appear.

When it comes to the form in which it appears, we have a lot of possibilities:

  • pills,
  • liquid,
  • powder
  • natural form (e.g. Wild rose)

Vitamin C - (ascorbic acid) Recent studies have shown that in fact, the more of this substance we take, the better for our health. If we really do have an excess, we will simply excrete it with our urine. If someone does not believe, it is enough to understand the fact that we basically take the proper standards needed for life with food. Any form of external intake immediately exceeds the given dose. So what? We can exceed little and not more? Obvious nonsense. In America, studies were conducted in which people who supplemented vitamin C from outside were compared with a group that never did so. The group of people studied were elderly people. The studies showed that the health condition of those taking the vitamin was much better. Where does this result come from?

The positive effects of vitamin C

1) It protects against colds . This is because, first of all, it seals the cell walls. Making it difficult for bacteria or viruses to enter the interior. Additionally, it greatly increases the removal of toxins and bacteria from the body. It thins the blood, which means that the transport of substances occurs much faster than in normal conditions. In short, it supports the immune system very efficiently.

2) It is a very strong antioxidant, which additionally supports the production of collagen. Thanks to this, we have the effect of much better quality skin. Regeneration occurs much faster after training because we are able to neutralize metabolites much faster.

3) In the long run, it stabilizes blood pressure . It takes care of the condition of arteries and veins. Thanks to this, it has a very significant effect on people at risk of heart attacks.

4) Free radicals are the biggest mini enemy of our body. They destroy our body from the inside. Their big enemy is vitamin C which neutralizes them in a very simple way.

5) The next point is especially important for bodybuilders, because ascorbic acid is a silent killer of cortisol, i.e. an antagonist of testosterone. A hormone that, instead of synthesizing, breaks down our muscles from the inside.

Finally , some good advice , or a very good home remedy for the initial phase of a cold . ( Note: it works on a bodybuilder with many years of experience in sports! - not for everyone! )

To catch a cold, three factors must occur simultaneously.

  • hypothermia
  • virus infection
  • weakness

When, unfortunately, we have managed to fulfill the above points, we have a quick solution to choose from.

At the moment of feeling weak, apathetic (the moment when we feel broken), we take a loading dose, i.e. 4,000 mg after another 2 hours, another 2,000 mg, and after another 2/3 hours, another 2,000 mg.

This dose can often inhibit the penetration of bacteria and viruses into cells.
