Each HMB 1250 XXL tablet contains a whopping 1250 mg of HMB calcium salt, equivalent to 1000 mg of pure HMB! HMB (beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate) is produced in the body from the amino acid L-leucine. One of HMB's biochemical functions is its participation in protein synthesis. HMB also has the ability to inhibit the activity of catabolic enzymes.
