Brief description:
RECOMED® CARBO is a food for special medical purposes. Designed for the dietary management of nutritional deficiencies occurring in patients preparing for surgical procedures. A maltodextrin-based carbohydrate drink with added sodium, potassium, and chloride. Residue-free.
Important information:
This product must be used under medical supervision. This product is not suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition. This product is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. This product is not suitable for infants and young children. Do not use in individuals without the above-mentioned medical conditions, health disorders, or medical contraindications to its use. Before using this product, read the information on the recommended intake and directions for use on the packaging. Use with caution in patients with diabetes.
Warning:
The product is not intended for parenteral use.
Contraindications:
Do not use in patients undergoing emergency surgery or in patients with delayed gastric emptying or intestinal obstruction.

USE
Shake before use. Sedimentation is a natural phenomenon and does not affect the quality of the product. In the absence of individual physician indications, the following use of the product is recommended: Stage 1: 4 x 250 ml on the evening before the procedure; Stage 2: 2 x 250 ml on the day of the procedure, no later than 2 hours before anesthesia. The product must be used under medical supervision. The product is not suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition. The product is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. The product is not suitable for babies and small children. Do not use in people who have not been diagnosed with the above-mentioned medical conditions, health disorders or who have no medical contraindications to its use. Use with caution in patients with diabetes. The product is not intended for parenteral use. Do not use in patients undergoing emergency surgery or in patients with delayed gastric emptying or intestinal obstruction. Contains sweeteners. Store at room temperature, in a dry place, in a closed container, out of reach of small children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. A dietary supplement cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
