If you’re thinking about stocking up your home gym and can’t decide whether to buy a dumbbell rack or resistance bands, do yourself and your wallet a favor and skip the free weights (at least at first!).

  1. THEY TAKE UP VERY LITTLE SPACE

Because resistance bands are flexible, take up little space and are easy to store and transport, you can squeeze them into any suitcase. When you go on vacation, you don't have to give up your daily workouts (you can do them even in the small space of a hotel room).

  1. THEY COME IN SEVERAL FORMS, SO THEY CAN BE ADAPTED TO CURRENT NEEDS

There are several types of resistance bands:

  • power bands – of varying widths and high resistance, dedicated to athletes (they are especially useful in bodybuilding and crossfit)
  • mini bands – in the form of loops, used in general strengthening training, during fitness classes and rehabilitation (fantastic for buttock exercises and body shaping)
  • pilates bands – light and flexible bands that will diversify any fitness class (they are perfect for stretching or relaxation exercises)

  • TRX bands – durable bands for exercising using your own body weight. IMPORTANT – they are not elastic.
